Most of the artwork above is from my 2005 art show, def-i-ni-tion, at the Rose Bank Winery in Newtown. Many of the pieces now reside with private collectors. If you would like to commission a painting, please contact me. You can read my artist statement from the show below.

Artist Statement
Definition n. - A statement conveying fundamental character.
The power that art possesses has always amazed me. The ability that artists have to reveal the most abstract things and give them not only tangible form, but also a human feel, is extraordinary.
“Every good painter paints what he is.”
-Jackson Pollock
When I create a painting, I do not paint concrete objects. I try to capture specific moments, realizations, intentions and feelings - defining them visually using color, texture and movement. I am always conscious of the natural world around me, drawing inspiration from branches intersecting, wires and thread intertwining, and clouds forming. I prefer the color palettes of nature as well, remaining loyal to the hues of the sunset, the sky and the ocean.
My preferred medium is oil on canvas, using the thread from raw canvas. The thread to me represents life - sometimes planned, most times unpredictable. I relish the form the string takes and the new direction each blank canvas may take me in - some paths I chose and some paths are chosen for me, but at the end of the processes, like life, there are always lessons learned during the journey.
My hope for you as you view my paintings is that you give yourself over to the piece and that you allow yourself to experience it without the confines and outside the boundaries of everydayness. To exist for a short time in the abstract and permit yourself to feel and interpret freely - to experience the feelings that I have tried to convey and to live within the moments that I have tried to capture. For I believe that these moments in my life, as in all our lives, are the ones that truly define who we are.
